Body Solid Rubber Coated Hex Dumbbells Review
If you’re looking to go pro with your weights, then solid dumbbells are for you! You don’t have to waste time changing plates, or turning dials to lift what you want. You just lift them. I’ll be reviewing the Body Solid Rubber Coated Hex Dumbbells in this article, lets start off by seeing that Body Solid have to say about them.
Body Solid’s Description:
Encased in virgin rubber- Resists cracking and fading, protects floor. New version in 2014 includes Body-Solid logo on rubber.
Now there isn’t too much we can say about solid dumbbells but lets start off with the shape. The Hexagon weights on each side ensure that the dumbbell doesn’t roll, so when you’re ready for your next set it’ll still be there waiting for you. Some people might not find this an issue, but it has been known to happen. And them straight edges ensure that it will never happen again. Each weight is encased in a strong crack & fade resistant coating. It’ll help protect your floor when you throw them down. Which at home we may not have the best floors so it’s important to take as much care as possible. The coating is spread evenly over the cast iron weights and includes the Body Solid logo and the dumbbells weight. The handle is chrome finished but made of steel. You can purchase the weights from 3-100lbs so the variations of weight are great.
My Opinion; Inc Pros & Cons:
If you can it’s great to be able to have a wide selection. And these dumbbells certainly look very professional. The grip is great, and the hexagonal shape really is a bonus when you’re working out in a rush. Being able to pick up straight from where you left off is something you may not appreciate much. But being able to freely put your hands down to the same place and the weights still being there is very useful. Having a full set of these can be very costly, but if you’re not looking to cut corners in your dumbbell workout then a solid set is the answer. And the build quality is great. They really are stylish with the chrome finished handles, and the embossed logo. As well the weight is clearly embedded on there too. The rubber is very durable on these and if you purchase the Body Solid Rack there is virtually no noise when putting them down.
